Waterside Retirement Community

2025-06-26
The mixed pairs competition for 2025 included 14 teams from across the region, including Almonte, Nepean and Highland Park. The day was a cool one, a nice break from the earlier part of the week when temperatures were in the mid 30s with humidex reading in the mid 40s!

Three games were played, interspersed with snack and meal breaks. Points were added from each game played. Points over 15 per game and ends won were used as tie breakers.

Congratulations to GLBC members Stephen and Dawn on the highest overall score. Last minute entries asked by Wayne to help fill the roster, they combined some excellent shots with some very good fortune (luck) to win all three games handily. Enthusiastic support from other club members (Angelika, Kathy, Vera and Jan amongst many others) helped tremendously. Click on the photo for a larger version.

Other presentations were made to the teams that had the highest scores in three games, two games and one game. From left to right;
-3 game winners from Nepean, Bill and Sheila
-2 game winners from Almonte, Dave and Sandra
-1 game winners from GLBC, Shirley and John

And thanks, of course, to all the volunteers who worked to put this event on and to present the competitors with refreshments and  an interesting bowling green on which to play.
