Our club is always interested in receiving new members. We currently have 72 bowlers who range in age from early 60s to mid 90s - proving that this sport is playable for a lifetime. No experience is necessary - we will teach you all you need to know to get going!

New MembersMemberships for bowlers new to the game cost $90.00. We offer an introductory session where you learn about the game basics of grip, bias and bowl delivery via demonstration and hands-on-play. You then get to play one game free before committing to join. More information on training is available under the Training tab here.
New members that are new to the game get use of club bowls for free for the first year. See our GLBC Bowl Rental Policy for additional details. Please take the time to read this policy. Before new to lawn bowling players start regular play, they MUST take two introductory training sessions. The training makes joining the club a more pleasant experience for the new player as well as their team mates during regular play. Click here for details. |
Regular MembershipThe regular membership fee for 2024 is $185.00.

Social MembershipWe also offer a Social Membership for $10 (this may change if the OLBA changes its insurance fee). This membership has two objectives: 1) to address the needs of players who may require someone to drive them to the green and back and need to wait on premises; and, 2) current or previous members who can no longer play but want the opportunity to continue to see their friends and former teammates on a social basis. There are no playing privileges so the fee is set to cover the cost of insurance liability only. Our insurance policy requires anyone on the property to be a registered member which, by definition, requires insurance coverage. However, we make exceptions to this rule for visitors who want to try out the game and for anyone who is just dropping someone off or picking them up. The Club is not looking to profit financially from this type of membership.
