The AGM reviewed the 2025 year and the Board for 2025. The number of new members was cited as a positive indicator of the good health of the club. Awards were then presented. Aug 23, 24. We hosted the OLBA District 16 Playdown Novice Mens & Novice Womens Singles. The following thank you note was received after the event;
Much appreciation for Goulbourn's hosting of the OLBA District Novice Women's Singles and Novice Men's Singles Playdowns this past weekend.  The facilities and Green were very good.  Many players' bowling ability noticeably improved when pitted against each other.   There was recognition of the importance of the Umpire, their measuring and timing skills.

The markers were exceptional and kept players well informed. They all performed the important duties of marker so well.  Several came back Sunday to continue to assist and if not needed, they cheered in an unbiased manner.  Apologies to Otto and any other markers who were willing, but the positions had been taken.  Your markers were most keen not to miss the chance of seeing the head form and various strategies used.

I must mention Pam's refreshments - were enjoyed by all throughout both days with the fresh tea and coffee.  Your social committee is also held in high regard!

The Women's winners were Angelika da Silveira (1st), Shirley Mackey (2nd).
The Men's winners were Dean Chamberlin from Nepean LBC (1st), Chris Sheardown, Highland Park (2nd).
First place winners will represent District 16 at the OLBA Ontario Finals in Oshawa on September 20-21.  Angelika will return with the much-prized 2025 Nv. WS pennant for the Goulbourn club.

Sincerely,
Marguerite Jane Daley
