Return to Play (RTP)
The Goulbourn Lawn Bowling Club opened for the 2021 Season on June 2nd under the Phase 1 (of 3) Return to Play (RTP) protocols issued by Bowls Canada (BC) and the OLBA. Each member should be fully aware of and understand all of them. Our insurance coverage and successful return to play is totally dependent on all members respecting and adhering to these protocols. Phases 2 and 3 will be implemented as restrictions are eased by the appropriate authorities. While a printed copy of the details will be available for viewing at the Green, below is a summary of the limitations and member expectations.
From June 14 to June 28 time slots of 1hr 15 minute slots are available from 9:15 to 10:30 and 10:45 to 12:00 noon, for 10 players per session. We have just added a 5:00 session to accommodate the demand.
9:15 time slot filled before scheduling 10:30 sessions.
Members must be present at the property at least 10 minutes ahead of their playing time; second session players must wait outside the green until the first session players have departed.
Members must pre-schedule all practice/play by contacting the Scheduler (Garry Ross) by email firstname.lastname@example.org
Play may be booked for one session at a time no more than 40 hours in advance of the session being booked and by no later than 9:00 pm the evening prior. For example, Wednesday session may not be booked before Monday.
Players will be notified by email by 8:15 am for any day when rain causes a cancellation - please check you email if in doubt as this is the only notification you will receive.
Members may book for themselves plus a partner
Phase 2 Play - Regular games, 10 people on the property
Phase 3 Play - Regular play, 4 rinks with maximum of 6 players per rink players on the green
Members will be assigned a rink at sign-in.
